Breakfast Club
Experts tell us that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and that children who eat a good breakfast achieve higher grades in school, than children who do not eat breakfast. Of course we want our children to do well in school, so we hold a Breakfast Club for everyone, every morning from 8:00 am.
We are proud to be in partnership with the Award Winning Magic Breakfast and therefore our Breakfast Club is heavily subsidised. We are so grateful to:
• Heinz Baked Beans
• Nestle and Kellogs
• New York Bagel Company
• Tropicana Juices
• Scottish Porridge Oates.
We ask that you send £1 a day for Breakfast Club. Children can choose from fruit juice, cereal, porridge and bagels.
At Breakfast Club children can also use the ICT room for interactive educational activities; they can play games, join in Let’s Dance Club, do sporting activities in the gym, read, help out and perhaps finish their homework.
The savings we have made being in partnership with the Magic Breakfast has been quite extraordinary. Simply sensational in fact! We have distributed over £46250 in the past year. ALL goes directly into the children’s tummies.
Parklands are proud to be in partnership with Magic Breakfast, providing healthy breakfasts to our pupils so that they are settled and ready to learn and ready to shine brightly for the day ahead.
Breakfast time is not just term time, the goods are shared during the holidays for all our hungry children.
Magic Breakfast helps ensure that no child is too hungry to learn by providing healthy breakfast food and expert support to help identify and reach those pupils at risk of hunger. A hungry child cannot concentrate so could miss out on half a day of lessons every school day if not given anything nutritious to eat first thing.
