Today Y5 had the luxury of working with real life Olympic Team GB cyclist Phil Bateman. He inspired them through his recovery from a broken collarbone to train hard to fulfil his dream. The children went over ramps; under bridges as they learnt to control their bikes . What an experience for them.
On 11th June the former British Olympic Cyclist Phil Bateman joined us at Parklands for the fourth successful year running. With more children eager to take part than ever before, he worked with over 90 children across Key Stage 2 to deliver an action packed day full of competitive fun. It was great to see the children grow in confidence as they learnt new cycling techniques, whilst enjoying a variety of circuits, obstacle courses and competitive track races. The rain certainly did not dampen a fantastic day!
